This week we're focusing on a "Eleven," a short story by Sandra Cisneros. So far, we've discussed the way that similes contribute to good storytelling and how age is "like an onion." Later this week, we'll take a test over the story. If you understand the plot of the story as well as the basic concepts during class discussion, you should do well. If you'd like to check out a book to re-read the story prior to the test, please come and discuss with me.
